PROCESS
Step #1: You will visit some of the websites on the Resources
page. As you visit the sites, you will read about various gods and
goddesses. You will need to find one god or goddess that you admire and most resemble.
Remember, this will be the god or goddess that you hope to replace
for the month of July. You will need to choose carefully, because you
will want to convince Zeus that you are the best person for the job. You
will also want to think about your strengths and characteristics and find
a god or goddess that you feel you can easily replace.
Step #2: After
you have found the one position that you wish to fill, you will need to create
a Venn Diagram. In the diagram you will need to compare the traits of the god/goddess with your own traits.
Step #4: You will then need to prepare
a persuasive coverletter and resume using Microsoft Word. Please look over the
sample cover letter and resume. These will be the templates used for your assignment.
Step #5: After
completing your cover letter and resume, you will prepare them to be mailed
to Zeus by addressing an envelop correctly. You will use your address for the return address and mail it to Zeus' address. His address is as follows:
Zeus, King of the Gods
123 Heaven Lane
Mt. Olympus, Greece 00000
Step #6:
You will send the letter with Hermes, Messenger of the gods, in hopes
of being hired by Zeus. (Place in teacher's mailbox)
Step #7: You will wait to be called for
an interview by Zeus (the teacher). Be prepared to answer questions
about your qualifications and experience.
