The Sturgeon R-V Board of Education voted unanimously to hire Jamie Boyd as the new principal of Sturgeon Middle School. Jamie is a graduate of Van Far High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Westminster College in Fulton, MO. Jamie has a master’s degree in educational administration from Columbia College in Columbia, MO.
Prior to her new assignment Jamie has served the Boonville, MO, Wellsville, MO and Louisiana, MO School Districts.
Ms. Boyd looks forward to her new position "I am thrilled and thankful to join the Sturgeon Middle School team. I am looking forward to an amazing year working with the faculty, staff, students, and the Bulldog family to provide a positive middle school experience for all. "
Misty Doss, Sturgeon R-V BOE President said “We appreciate all the work Mrs. Amanda White has done at Sturgeon and wish her all the best moving forward. The district is excited to have Ms. Boyd as part of our Administration Team. We look forward to her leadership at Sturgeon Middle School.”
Ms. Boyd takes over on August 1st, 2021
