What is PTSO?
Our Mission Statement
The mission of the PTSO organization is to support the Sturgeon R-V students and staff by raising funds for their educational and recreational needs. This is accomplished by building a close relationship with parents, teachers, students, and patrons of the school district.
We meet on the first Thursday of each month in the EL/MS Library at 6:30 p.m. Please park on the W. Patton Street and enter the library patio between the MS & EL entrances.
What is the PTSO and who can be a member? - The PTSO is made up of several officers and board members, our wonderful school staff and volunteers.
So who can be a member? - If you are a parent, guardian, and/or a person who teaches or instructs at Sturgeon R-V Schools, you can join
Some the programs and events that the PTSO has sponsored this past year.
Educational needs: Help purchase materials for the Elementary/Middle/High School classrooms...
Recreational needs: Help purchase materials for outdoor activities.
Rewards Program: Help fund MAP testing activities.
Social events: Santa’s Breakfast, K-4 Winter Dance, Back-to-school open house.
Teacher & Staff appreciation week: Plan events for the week and provide gifts to the teachers & staff to say thank you for all they do for our students.
Adopt a Family: Provide assistant to families in need during the holidays.
Communication: PTSO website and Facebook page.
Fundraising: The PTSO organizes fundraisers to help raise money for the programs and events listed above.
