Several confirmed cases of strep throat have been reported within our school district.

Please watch your child for the following symptoms:

  • Throat pain

  • Difficulty swallowing

  • Swollen, tender lymph glands (nodes) in the neck

  • Fever

  • Red, swollen tonsils

  • Headache

  • Stomach ache and vomiting

  • Pinpoint, dry rash

If your child shows any of the above symptoms, or you believe he/she may be getting strep throat, the best thing to do is to keep them home from school and see your physician.

If medication is prescribed for strep throat, your child needs to be on the medication for 24 hours before returning to school.

Please contact the school nurse if you have any questions or concerns.
